The odds might be against them, but the Wellington Phoenix will keep fighting until the Hyundai A-League Finals Series door is officially closed, says their livewire Fijian forward Roy Krishna.
The Wellington outfit must gain at least a point on Saturday night – and preferably all three – to keep their finals flame flickering in the penultimate round of the season.Â
Even then, they’ll need Perth Glory or Wanderers to drop points.
Standing in Wellington’s way is the small matter of the Premiers Plate winners, Sydney FC.
The Sky Blues visit Wellington looking for a sixth straight win and chasing a record points haul for an A-League season.

PHOENIX WILL FIGHT TO THE FINISH
“It’s not over yet,” Phoenix striker Roy Krishna told reporters.
“We’re going to give it everything until the last match.
“In the last two games we just have to do our best and [hope] Perth lose points.
“We can’t afford to draw, we just need to win,” he said.
MIDFIELD BATTLEGROUND COULD BE CRUCIALÂ
Sydney FC will be without regular midfielders Brandon O’Neill and Josh Brillante who are both suspended after picking up their eighth yellow cards of the season last weekend.
“I think it’s going to be a key in the midfield,” said Krishna.
“Sydney have been playing great – credit goes to them – they’ve been very consistent.
“We just need to keep the ball.
“We need to hold the midfield and if we have the chances, we take them,” said the Fijian.
KRISHNA KEEN TO KICK ON
Krishna has scored eleven goals this season, but didn’t find the net in Wellington’s head-turning 3-0 win at Melbourne Victory a week ago.
“It doesn’t matter if I score or not – it’s a team performance,” he said.
“I was happy enough to be in the box.
“I had a few chances but you have to move on and hopefully this week I can take the chances,” he added.
