Phoenix keeper sweeps club awards

Wellington Phoenix goalkeeper Glen Moss was rewarded for a stellar campaign with the custodian taking out two major awards at the club’s awards dinner on Tuesday night.

Moss was named Players’ Player of the Year and also collected Wellington’s Player of the Year award.

“It is always good to be recognised by your peers and then to get a second award was fantastic,” Moss said.

“It was a tough season for everyone at the club and I am already looking forward to next season with the talented players we have already attracted to the club.”

The Members Revera under-23 player of the year was Dylan Fox, while Blake Powell took home the Golden Boot award after netting 8 goals in 2015/16.

Club veterans Ben Sigmund and Manny Muscat were both given a standing ovation as the club paid tribute to the departing duo to end an emotional evening.
