Meet the ‘Home and Away’ kit man that trades inside secrets in a WhatsApp group

From one-time Summer Bay star to Perth Glory’s home and away kit man extraordinaire – Brett Lambert is certainly part of the Hyundai A-League furniture.

There is not much that gets past Lambert, Perth’s kit man and key confidante, a position he has served with distinction over a decade.

Lambert has not missed a game since joining his post in WA.

He has seen five managers arrive and depart, while countless players have come through the turnstile at HBF Park.

And, he oversees all the gossip, the scoops and the ins and outs across the competition from a WhatsApp group with the rest of the Hyundai A-League’s kit managers.

“We talk about players maybe coming to you’re club if they’re high maintenance. I’ve heard all the stories,” he told a-league.com.au

Before assuming his role as kit man and one of the original Hyundai A-League ‘in the knows’, Lambert starred on the internationally-acclaimed Australian mega-soap opera Home and Away.
