Perth Glory v Newcastle Jets: match preview

Back-to-back wins has Perth Glory’s Premiership defence back on track and they host a Newcastle Jets side that was left embarrassed last weekend.

After going three games without a loss, the Jets have fallen back to earth with a thud over the last fortnight, especially the 4-0 drubbing against Melbourne City on Sunday.

The good news for the second-from-bottom Jets is they have time to turn things around and should get playmaker Wes Hoolahan back in the New Year.

Glory appear to be hitting form having won their last two matches without conceding a goal.

And the boys from the west have a phenomenal record against Newcastle. Glory have lost only two of their last 24 Hyundai A-League games against the Jets (W17, D5).

Will that run continue at HBF Park on Saturday?
