A trademark ruthless performance in front of goal has led to Melbourne Victory talisman Besart Berisha becoming Round 20’s Performer of the Round, powered by Opta.
Leading into the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season Finals Series, each week we’ll reveal the best performer of the round based on Opta Data’s stats.
And Berisha took the honours for Round 20 after his two-goal haul in Victory’s big win over Central Coast Mariners on Sunday.
In his 150th A-League appearance, the Albanian marksman scored a goal in each half – from just four attempts – as Victory prevailed 3-0.
He also had three shot assists, won three fouls and had an 88% passing accuracy from his 34 passes in an excellent all-round display.
Berisha edged out Perth Glory’s Nebojsa Marinkovic and Melbourne City playmaker Nicolas Colazo as the best performer of the round.
