Malik’s exit brings an end to a three-year stay at the club he joined from Adelaide United.
The versatile defender-midfielder had joined the Reds for a second time 2011 and heads overseas having made 175 appearances in the competition.

Malik has struggled with injury in recent times and slipped below the likes of Bart Schenkeveld, Harrison Delbridge and Curtis Good in the pecking order for a centre-back berth at AAMI Park.
“The club would like to thank Osama for his contribution and wish him all the very best,” a City statement read.
Malik made 57 appearances for City in the Hyundai A-League and appeared in the Semi Final defeat to Newcastle Jets last season.
