Adelaide United – Craig Goodwin
Adelaide may not have been able to make the breakthrough in Saturday’s stalemate with Wellington, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying on Craig Goodwin’s behalf.
Adelaide’s top scorer this season created the joint second-most chances of the round (7) and contested the most tackles (4) of any forward over the course of Round 11.

Brisbane Roar – Adam Taggart
Suncorp Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for Adam Taggart this season, and Brisbane Roar’s number nine continued his sterling form at that venue with a first half brace against Perth Glory on Sunday evening.
Taggart’s side may have been felled 4-2 by the Hyundai A-League table-toppers eventually, but it wasn’t before the former Glory man clinched a first half brace of the highest quality.

Central Coast Mariners – Connor Pain
Connor Pain has been a shining light in a dim spell for Central Coast Mariners and underlined his key importance for the Gosford club in Friday night’s 5-2 loss to Sydney FC.
Pain led his side for touches in the box (3) and opened the scoring in the first half, temporarily sparking hopes of a big upset at Jubilee Stadium.
Melbourne City – Luke Brattan
There’s no secret Melbourne City’s four-match unbeaten run has coincided with a strong run of form from Luke Brattan, who was once again in superb nick in his side’s 2-1 victory over Newcastle Jets.
Brattan scored a trademark goal from outside the box – his only shot of the match – while also leading his team for total crosses (6) and made two blocks.

Melbourne Victory – Ola Toivonen
Victory’s Swedish striker became the first player in club history to score in five consecutive Hyundai A-League matches in their 2-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Toivonen fired in a brace and contested the most duels (16) of any player to score a goal, demonstrating just how important a leader he’s becoming in Victory’s title assault.

Newcastle Jets – Daniel Georgievski
Daniel Georgievski was a big presence for 10-man Newcastle in the Jets’ 2-1 defeat to Melbourne City.
The Macedonian fullback contested a round-high five tackles and created the third-most chances for any defender (3) – and saw a shot rebound off the foot of the post.

Perth Glory – Andy Keogh
Keogh brought his tally for the season to seven with another goal in Perth’s 4-2 win over Brisbane on Sunday evening.
The Irishman made the joint second-most shots on target for the round (3) and finished with a 100% shooting accuracy as Tony Popovic’s side preserved their lead at the Hyundai A-League summit.

Sydney FC – Alex Brosque
Sydney FC’s evergreen attacker notched his maiden Hyundai A-League hat-trick in the club’s win over Central Coast on Friday in a lethal second half spell.
Despite registering the fewest touches of any starting Sydney player, Brosque created three scoring chances and made a round-high four shots on target as Steve Corica’s side flexed their attacking muscles.

Wellington Phoenix – Filip Kurto
Mark Rudan described Kurto as a “beast” after the Pole’s heroics helped Phoenix earn a point and clean sheet away at Adelaide United on Saturday – and it’s easy to see why.
Kurto repelled the Reds time after time, becoming the first player since Eugene Galekovic in April 2015 to make 7+ saves from shots inside the box and keep a clean sheet.

Western Sydney Wanderers – Alex Baumjohann
Baumjohann continued his stellar form for the Wanderers in the club’s 2-1 defeat to Melbourne Victory.
The German playmaker won the most fouls of any player during the round, made the most total crosses of any player during the round and clinically dispatched a second half penalty.
