She may have a famous footballing brother but Princess Ibini is making her own mark in the game right now.
At just 15, Ibini is already a key member of the Sydney FC Westfield W-League side and pushing hard to break into Alen Stajcic’s Matildas squad.
Just like her older brother Bernie, Princess is a speedy attacker who loves to run at and beat her direct opponent.
It’s something we’ve seen constantly with the Sky Blues in the W-League this season.
In 11 games she’s scored a goal and been involved in 23 duels to help Sydney FC qualify for a record eighth straight W-League finals appearance.
No wonder Ibini is considered as one to watch in the race for the NAB Young Footballer of the Year.
She has already represented Australia at under-19 level and was part of the Young Matildas side that finished third at the AFF Women’s Championships in Vietnam.
And in December last year Ibini was rewarded for her breakout year selected as one of two 15-year-old’s to be called-up into the Westfield Matildas squad for a training camp.
For someone so young, it says a lot about her potential.
Like her displays on the pitch, Ibini is going places in a hurry!
