The countdown is on until Western Sydney Wanderers play their first match at the new Bankwest Stadium against English outfit Leeds United.
Marcelo Bielsa is set to bring a full-strength side – including the likes of Patrick Bamford, Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez – for what will be the first football match at the impressive new venue.
Leeds are heading Down Under as part of their pre-season preparations for the upcoming Championship campaign and will also take on Manchester United in Perth on July 17.

“Leeds have a very rich culture and they’re a massive club,” Wanderers defender Tarek Elrich said on the club’s official website.
“To have them come out here and play against us in the new Stadium next month is something we’ll never forget.”
While the clash is seen as an important building block for Leeds ahead of another campaign where they are chasing promotion to the Premier League, it’s also vital for Markus Babbel and the Wanderers.

The German coach is likely to hand club debuts to new recruits like Dylan McGowan, Pirmin Schwegler, Radoslaw Majewski, Daniel Georgievski and Daniel Lopar.
It will also be a key hitout for the club ahead of their first competitive match in this year’s FFA Cup Round of 32.
