Australia U-23’s hero and Perth Glory starlet Nick D’Agostino has been named the Hyundai A-League’s February nominee for the Young Footballer of the Year.
The 22-year-old returned to the Perth Glory camp at the beginning of February after a successful AFC U-23 Championship campaign in which he scored the all-important winning goal against Uzbekistan in a third-place playoff to secure Australia’s sport at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
On February 1st, Perth Glory boss Tony Popovic rewarded D’Agostino for his form with the national side with his first start in Glory colours.
And the rapid attacker repaid Popovic’s faith by scoring a 90th-minute equaliser to ensure Glory got their share of the points in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Melbourne Victory.

D’Agostino went on to start two of Perth’s remaining three games in February, with his best performance coming in a Round 18 clash with Wellington where he scored a brace in a magnificent showing.
Along with his two goals, D’Agostino created three chances, took six shots on goal and won 10 of his 14 duels as Glory notched an impressive 4-2 win over a top-four rival.
