Santalab’s Hyundai A-League hat-trick against Melbourne City thrust him into contention and he’s been named among the reserves in the highly-anticipated weekly announcement.

As well as Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo, the starting team features German midfielder André Schürrle and his countryman Lukas Podolski who scored in his final appearance for the German national team in their win over England last Wednesday.

Dempsey scored a hat-trick in the USA’s 6-0 win over Honduras with Pulisic also netting.
