Newcastle Jets welcome reigning Hyundai A-League Premiers Perth Glory to the Hunter Valley searching for their first win of the campaign.
Ernie Merrick’s side were handsomely beaten 4-1 by Sydney FC last time out, following a home defeat to Adelaide United and a first-up stalemate with rivals Central Coast Mariners.
Newcastle have struggled to convert opportunities into goals so far this season but will need to up their game for the visit of Tony Popovic’s Perth.
Perth succumbed to a rare 2-1 defeat at home to the Mariners last Sunday and will be looking for a win to get their Premiers Plate defence back on track.
