Newcastle Jets midfielder Emma Dundas has earned the February nomination for Young Footballer of the Year in the Ninja A-League.
The young midfielder has established herself as a crucial part of a Jets side battling hard to secure a spot in this year’s Finals Series.
Dundas played the full 90 minutes in all three of the Jets’ matches during the voting period and bagged her first goal of the season in the Round 18 clash against Perth Glory.

Dundas joins Brisbane Roar duo Daisy Brown and Grace Kuilamu on the shortlist after they claimed the December and January nominations respectively whilst Melbourne City’s Shelby McMahon was the November nominee.
The Ninja A-League Young Footballer of the Year award is an annual prize awarded to the competition’s best young player from either Australia or New Zealand aged 19 and under.

Dundas was named Young Footballer of the Year February nominee via a panel appointed by the Australian Professional Leagues (APL).
The panel features an assortment of media representatives and technical football experts, who vote on a 3-2-1 basis at the conclusion of each nominated monthly period throughout the season.
