Newcastle Jets re-sign midfielder after ‘breakout season’: ‘Exciting new era’

Socceroos head coach Graham Arnold has spoken glowingly about Adelaide as a hot bed of talent in Australian football.

Newcastle Jets midfielder Sophie Hoban has signed a new two-year deal with the Liberty A-League side.

Hoban enjoyed a “breakout season” in her first campaign with the Jets, who won a Finals fixture for the first time in their history as they reached the Semi-Finals.

The 23-year-old made 23 appearances and scored one goal.
