The 20-year-old will link up with the senior national team after playing every minute of New Zealand’s FIFA Men’s Under-20 World Cup in Chile, where the country bowed out in the group phase.

Kelly-Heald joins Wellington teammate Tim Payne and Auckland FC’s Francis de Vries as the three Isuzu UTE A-League players in Darren Bazeley’s side.

The All Whites will continue their 2026 World Cup preparations with a match against Poland in Chorzow on October 10 before meeting Norway in Oslo on October 15.

Then three days later, Wellington kick-off their Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season away to Perth Glory on October 18.
