Adelaide United’s clash with Canberra United on Saturday afternoon has been delayed by the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) to 7:00 PM (ACDT).
The contest was originally scheduled for 3:30 PM (ACDT) at ServiceFM Stadium, but has since been delayed by the APL ahead of this weekend’s clash.
Dates have also been locked in for the rescheduled Western United-Newcastle Jets and Adelaide United-Wellington Phoenix clashes in the Liberty A-League, while there have been other updates to fixtures.
A heatwave in Victoria and South Australia last month forced flawless newcomers Western’s match at home to the Jets and Adelaide’s encounter with the Phoenix to be postponed.
But new dates and venues have been confirmed for the two contests.
Western and Newcastle will now meet at Morshead Park in Ballarat on Wednesday, February 8, instead of City Vista Recreation Reserve, while the Adelaide-Wellington matchup will take place at ServiceFM Stadium – not Coopers Stadium – on Tuesday, March 28.
There has also been other changes made across the Liberty A-League, including a fixture reversal.
Instead of Sydney FC hosting Western United on Wednesday, January 11, the Sky Blues will now visit City Vista Recreation Reserve in a top-of-the-table showdown on that same date in Melbourne.
That means Sydney will welcome Western to Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Sunday, March 5.
Meanwhile, Newcastle Jets and Canberra United’s fixture has been pushed back a day to Sunday, February 5.
