Defender Daniel Mullen has been added to the Western Sydney Wanderers Hyundai A-League squad following Golgol Mebrahtu-s ACL and MCL injuries.
Mullen initially signed for the next two Hyundai A-League seasons as well as this year-s AFC Champions League and made his debut in last Wednesday-s victory over Guizhou Renhe in China.
While excited to join the squad, Mullen expressed his sympathy for Mebrahtu-s situation.
“Golgol-s injury is very unfortunate and all players and staff at the Wanderers will be with him every step of the way during his recovery,” said Mullen.
“Unfortunately for Gol injuries happen in football but I-ll still be doing my best to make the most of this opportunity and add depth and quality to the team.
Having already donned the jersey in the Champions League, Mullen was excited about the possibility of more game time.
“I loved my debut in China – getting to play in the Red and Black was very special – and now being added to the Hyundai A-League squad gives me a chance to contribute even more to the Club.
“I-ll continue to work hard and learning from the coaching staff to make sure I-m at my best for when the Club needs me.”
