Wellington Phoenix have confirmed that New Zealand International Michael McGlinchey will depart the club, effective immediately.
The midfielder spent four seasons with the Kiwi club and made a total of 85 appearances.
McGlinchey joined Wellington prior to the 2014/15 season after winning a Hyundai A-League Championship title with the Central Coast Mariners.
McGlinchey scored 11 goals for the Phoenix and captained the club on a number of occasions during his stint with Wellington.
The 31-year-old also chalked up his 200th Hyundai A-League appearance earlier this year in his side’s 2-1 win over Perth Glory at home.
He became one of only 26 players throughout the history of the A-League to achieve the feat.

From everyone at the Nix and the wider football community, we'd like to wish Mikey and his family all the very best.
