Melbourne Victory v Western United FC: match preview

It’s a new experience for Western United FC this week as they head into Saturday night’s clash against Melbourne Victory on their back of their first loss.

Mark Rudan’s side went down 2-1 to City on the weekend in the club’s first-ever Melbourne Derby in their only blemish in the competition so far.

They’ll look to bounce back in another clash against a local rival in Victory, who got their season back on track with their first win of the campaign last time out with a 1-0 win over Brisbane Roar.

The match is sure to be an extra special occasion for United striker Besart Berisha, who won two championships and is regarded as a club legend at Victory.
