Melbourne Victory have announced the return of Subway Socceroos full-back Jason Davidson on a two-year deal in the Isuzu UTE A-League.
Davidson re-joins Victory on a deal through to the end of 2026-27 following three years in Europe, having departed AAMI Park at the end of 2021-22.
The 34-year-old enjoyed spells at Belgian club KAS Eupen and Panserraikos FC in the Greek Super League before returning to Victory, where he won the 2021-22 Australia Cup after scoring twice in the final.

“Returning to Victory after three years in Europe is incredibly exciting,” said Davidson, who played 28 matches for the club across the A-Leagues, Australia Cup and AFC Champions League three years ago.
“I’m looking forward to working with a quality team and the wonderful new coaching staff at the club, with the aim of securing points and ultimately silverware for Melbourne Victory.
“I have nothing but fond memories of my previous time at the club, and I loved being part of the Victory family – playing in front of, and making the best members and fans in the League proud.
“My time overseas has only made me more hungry for success. I intend to bring my best to the team, alongside the rest of the playing group, and help drive success this season.”

Kayne Razmovski has also been promoted to the first team, while Clarismario Santos, Luka Kolić, Roderick Miranda and Adama Traore have re-signed.

“Jason has proven his ability to be a game changer in both the A-League and on the international stage. We are thrilled to have him joining us for 2025,” said head coach Arthur Diles.
“His ambitions and drive to contribute to success are perfectly aligned with the direction we are heading at Victory. Jason has shown that he possesses leadership and understands the expectations and culture we expect at the club.
“I’m sure he will be a great asset and make a strong contribution each week. I have no doubt that our fans and members will be excited to welcome Jason back on the pitch.”
