Melbourne Victory has extended its venue partnership with Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust (MOPT) for a further 10 years.
Melbourne Victory has called the iconic AAMI Park home for the past six seasons, with the club’s administration and training base also housed at the stadium.
The extended venue deal with MOPT comes less than three months after the club announced a similar 10-year extension with Etihad Stadium.
Melbourne Victory CEO Ian Robson said the club was thrilled to continue its relationship with MOPT at this world-class stadium.
“AAMI Park has been our home over the last six years. With its location in the heart of Melbourne’s sporting precinct, it is a venue that we’re all incredibly proud of and we know our members and fans genuinely enjoy coming to,” he said.
“Importantly, extending this partnership alongside our Etihad Stadium agreement fits with the club’s long-term fan engagement and match day experience strategy.
“I would like to sincerely thank the entire team at Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust for making our partnership a success so far, and we look forward to continuing to work together for the next decade.”
MOPT CEO Brian Morris said: “The Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust is delighted to extend what has been an exciting partnership between Melbourne Victory and AAMI Park.
“Since the opening of AAMI Park in 2010, the game has shown impressive growth and has brought a new dimension to sport in Melbourne and we are extremely proud to be a part of it.”
