Another day, another membership milestone!

Melbourne Victory has announced the club has surpassed 20,000 members for of the 2023-24 A-Leagues seasons.

The news comes just one day after Victory’s Big Blue rivals Sydney FC announced their own membership figure had ticked past 20,000.

Together, the two clubs have made the most of the hype generated by the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand to capitalise on the growing interest in football from the Australian public.

Victory’s milestone of 20,000 members was announced just one day prior to the club’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men campaign kicking off against the Sky Blues at Allianz Stadium on Saturday at 7.45pm AEDT.

The start of the A-League Men campaign comes one week after Round 1 of the Liberty A-League Women season, where Victory hosted Brisbane Roar at their new home venue, The Home of the Matildas at La Trobe University.

Victory’s A-League Women side continue their season away to local rivals Western United in Round 2, and will look to bounce back after a 2-1 home defeat to Brisbane.
