Melbourne City star Dario Vidosic has joined some illustrious company after being named in EA Sports’ FIFA Team of the Week.
Vidosic joins the likes of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and PSG superstar Neymar in the squad of the best performers from around the globe.
The fringe Caltex Socceroo scored a stunning goal in City’s 5-0 rout of Adelaide United on Sunday night.
His eye-catching display also earned Vidosic a spot in the Hyundai A-League Team of the Week for Round 17.
Vidosic has made an excellent start to life at City since making the mid-season switch from Wellington Phoenix in January, while in 14 games this season for both clubs he has scored six goals and provided two assists.
As well as the star-studded trio, other names to join Vidosic in the squad this week include Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller, Nice striker Mario Balotelli and Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez.
Vidosic is likely to again be a key figure for City in Thursday night’s massive clash against the Jets at AAMI Park.
A win for City will see them close to within one point of the Jets for a coveted top-two spot.
