Goals for Westfield Matildas stars Katrina Gorry and Sam Kerr have lifted the pair to an equal share of top spot in the Westfield W-League Golden Boot race.
Both scored crucial goals on the weekend to help their respective sides to important victories. Kerr scored the only goal as Perth Glory secured what may prove to be a vital win over Sydney FC.
Gorry, meanwhile, fired home with trademark precision from the edge of the penalty area for the opener as Brisbane Roar defeated Adelaide United.
Also moving to three goals is tenacious Adelaide youngster Adriana Jones who netted her third goal in four matches since her off-season move from Newcastle.
The weekend saw Brisbane Roar’s Allira Toby and Katie Stengel of Western Sydney Wanderers add themselves to the growing number of players on two goals for the season. As did the ever-reliable Tameka Butt who also scored against Adelaide, and remains the competition’s second highest goalscorer behind Michelle Heyman.
