Match preview: Perth Glory v Adelaide United

Perth Glory will relish being back in front of their home fans at HBF Park for this huge battle against Adelaide United to close out Round 15.

The league leaders were held scoreless for the first time this season in the 0-0 draw with Melbourne City on Saturday night but have too much quality to shoot another blank.

Especially if striker Andy Keogh is around. The Irishman simply loves playing the Reds.

In his last seven games against Adelaide United, Keogh has scored six goals, including one in each of his last two appearances.

But Adelaide United will arrive in Perth with an attacking star in equally ominous form.

Craig Goodwin has scored seven goals and made four assists this campaign, with only Melbourne Victory’s Terry Antonis having four or more in both categories this season.

Goodwin was the hero in Adelaide’s win over the Wanderers last Friday night, scoring one and assisting the other in the 2-1 triumph.

You have to go back to Round 4 in November for the last meeting between these two sides, a 2-0 win for the Glory at Coopers Stadium.

But given the form of both of late, expect this one to be much tighter.
