Alen Stajcic has almost finalised the coaching staff around him as he begins his overhaul of Central Coast Mariners.
Nahuel Arrarte remains as Stajcic’s assistant in Gosford on a three-year deal, having both joined the club late in the season following the sacking of Mike Mulvey.
Stajcic took charge of the last six games of the 2018/19 campaign – winning two – with the club locking down the former Westfield Matildas boss on a long-term deal earlier this month.

As part of the coaching restructure at the club, former assistant Nick Montgomery has moved into a Head of Performance role, which will see him take charge of the Mariners’ U18’s, U20’s and First Grade Men’s Academy sides.
“I spoke with Staj and we felt like it was a good opportunity if I wanted it,” Montgomery, a former captain of the Mariners, said on the club’s website.
“To step into the Academy space and start trying to bridge that gap between the NPL and the A-League sides is something that I’m really excited about.

“I’ll still obviously work with the first team next year, and bring them both together to develop young players and give them those first-team opportunities which is what we need.”
Stajcic has also bought in Luca Tonetti as the new Strength & Conditioning coach, while Matt Nash (goalkeeping coach) and David McGinness (physiotherapist) remain in their roles.
The Mariners are still hoping to employ a full-time video analyst before they begin pre-season training.
