Newcastle Jets have formally announced the signing of Matt Millar from near neighbours the Central Coast Mariners.
A deal was struck back in January when Millar signed a pre-contract agreement with the Club, and the full-back is now set to head north from the Central Coast on a two-year deal.

The Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season proved a breakout one for the attack-minded defender after he joined the Mariners from NPL Victoria club South Melbourne.
With eight assists – the second highest in the league – in 24 appearances, Millar became one of the most crucial players in the Mariners side.
“For a player signed from the NPL, Matt Millar stepped up and did incredibly well at the Central Coast,” Jets coach Ernie Merrick said.
“In a side that finished bottom of the league, Matt ended up with the second-most assists in the league.
“We’re confident he’ll be a good addition to the side and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do in Jets colours.”

Lawrie McKinna, chief executive officer at Newcastle Jets, said: “Obviously, the deal became apparent in the middle of January, but we’re pleased to be able to formally announce Matt’s signing.
“The club welcomes Matt to Newcastle and we’re excited to see him play the next two seasons in Jets colours.”
Millar will link up with the club on July 1 for the start of pre-season training.
