Dino Djulbic jokingly hailed his goalkeeping efforts as “man of the match” worthy after helping Perth Glory to a 1-1 draw with Western Sydney Wanderers.
The 35-year-old donned the gloves for seven minutes of stoppage time at Spotless Stadium after Liam Reddy was shown a straight red card.
Glory had used their three substitutes prior to the incident but successfully negotiated a nervy final few moments.
“I thought I was going to get a man of the match performance for not conceding but obviously not,” Djulbic laughed in a post-match interview with Fox Sports.
“Someone had to put their hand up and it was me. I thought Carrusca was going to shoot better [with a late chance] so I could put my hands on it, but it didn’t happen.

“Haven’t played there before [but] I’ve got confidence to play anywhere.
“I played in China as a striker and a winger so you there go.”
Glory coach Kenny Lowe was an animated figure throughout the match, which Djulbic attributed to a desire for victory.
The visitors needed three points if they were to reduce the gap to the sixth-placed Wanderers.
“Kenny is always passionate,” the veteran said.
“We wanted to win. We came to get the three points, unfortunately it didn’t happen. But we will build on this.
“It’s a point, I thought we could have got more, but I think at the end of the day it was a fair result.”
