Melbourne City head coach Rado Vidosic addressed speculation regarding the future of star full-back Jordan Bos, who has been linked with a move to parent club and Premier League powerhouse Manchester City.
Bos has established himself as one the Isuzu UTE A-League’s premier full-backs since debuting for the reigning premiers and league leaders in 2021, and the 20-year-old’s form has not gone unnoticed.

Capped by the Socceroos for the first time last month, Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing the Australia international in a similar move that saw Aaron Mooy, Daniel Arzani, Anthony Caceres and Luke Brattan loaned out previously without playing for the English giants.
Vidosic said he didn’t know whether Bos was on the move at season’s end, or if loan restrictions would affect any move, but backed the “shining light” of City’s campaign to block out the focus on his future.
NEDS WEEKEND PREVIEW: History awaits a City talisman on a milestone weekend for Adelaide’s Roos star
“If that is a possibility that would be fantastic but if that is not a possibility then I’m quite sure that the City Football Group will look after him,” he told reporters on Friday, ahead of Saturday’s showdown away to Central Coast Mariners.
“He’s a great player and soon he’s going to be in one of our clubs.”
Knowing three points will deliver a third straight Premiership, City are embracing a high-stakes clash with the Mariners in Gosford.
City (48 points) face the third-placed Mariners (37), who can still catch second-placed Adelaide United (41), determined to wrap up silverware with two games to go.
Golden Boot leader and City talisman could make history as the league’s all-time record scorer should he score two or more goals against Central Coast.
“They are a fantastic squad, third on the ladder at the moment,” Vidosic said.
“They’ve got all their players back, they’ve been very successful last week, they thrashed Western United 3-0. We had a good look at that game. They were excellent. (Gosford is) a hostile environment.
“The good thing is that, for us, we just continue to play the way that we would like to play. They are the ones that are chasing it.
“They need to come out firing so there may be a little bit more space behind them or between the lines.”
