Melbourne Heart defender Adrian Madaschi has been linked with a move to K-League club Jeju United.
Melbourne Heart defender Adrian Madaschi is set to become the latest Australian player to join South Korea-s K-League.
Reports suggest Madaschi will be flying to Korea this week to undergo a medical with Jeju United and if he passes it is likely he would be offered a contract with the club, a reward for his stellar form for the Heart, since joining the club in September.
The interest in Madaschi comes hot on the heels of Central Coast Mariners striker Matt Simon becoming the latest A-League star to head to the K-League when he joined Chunnam Dragons and former Adelaide player Robbie Cornthwaite at the club.
With the January transfer window well and truly open and Asian clubs beginning to look at filling positions with more physical players, the A-League has become an area of interest for them and it is reflected in moves to sign some of the league-s stars.
Madaschi has previously plied his trade abroad at Patrick Thistle and Dundee United in Scotland, but most famously for Portosumagga in Italy-s Serie B competition.
