Macarthur FC have announced the latest addition to their coaching department with former Socceroo Mile Sterjovski signing on as Macarthur’s second assistant coach ahead of the 2020/21 Hyundai A-League campaign.
Sterjovski will join assistant coach Ivan Jolic working under Ante Milicic at Macarthur FC ahead of the club’s upcoming inaugural Hyundai A-League season.
The news comes after Macarthur’s recently announced recruitment of 28-year-old attacker Tommy Oar, their first ever player signing.

Sterjovski enjoyed a stellar professional career having stints in Europe with English side Derby County and Swiss outfit FC Basel as well as earning 43 Socceroos caps.
The 40-year-old was a regular starter for the Socceroos throughout his career, highlighted by three appearances at the 2006 FIFA World Cup including two starts against Brazil and Croatia.
Sterjovski returned to Australia to join Perth Glory ahead of the 2009/10 Hyundai A-League season where he stayed for three seasons before departing the club.
After one season in the Chinese Super League Sterjovski joined Central Coast Mariners where he stayed for three seasons, winning the Hyundai A-League Championship in 2012/13.
Since his retirement in 2014 Sterjovski founded Mile Sterjovski Football Coaching (MSFC), an academy for junior players he has owned and operated to this day.
