Macarthur Bulls captain Luke Brattan has signed a one-season contract extension to remain in Campbelltown, the club confirmed.
Brattan, 35, joined Macarthur from Sydney FC ahead of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
It was a special campaign for the veteran midfielder, who surpassed the 300-game mark in the competition. Brattan also made history with the Subway Socceroos as the oldest player to debut for Australia in an ‘A’ international since the beginning of 1963, when he was named in the starting XI for the Socceroos’ World Cup qualifier with Japan in October.

Brattan’s Macarthur career began with an Australia Cup title in late September – the third of his career.
Winning the Australia Cup helped Macarthur qualify for the AFC Asian Champions League Two in 2025-26; upon signing his Macarthur contract extension, Brattan expressed his excitement for what’s to come in Asia as the Bulls look to compete on multiple fronts in the upcoming season.
“It feels great to sign on again after winning the Australia Cup last year. We want to build on that and compete for more trophies,” Brattan said.
“(Macarthur) is a fantastic club and it’s full of great people. It has a big future ahead that I want to be a part of that.”
“I’m looking forward to playing in Asia again and representing Macarthur abroad. Our expectations for this year are to build on last season and push for every trophy possible.”
