Perth Glory coach Kenny Lowe is looking no further ahead than Friday’s blockbuster clash with Western Sydney Wanderers despite his side’s red-hot form.
Glory moved within one point of the Hyundai A-League’s top six after stunning Brisbane Roar 6-3 at nib Stadium on Saturday night.

It was the club’s fifth straight win, prompting some pundits to declare Lowe’s side a genuine championship contender.
But Lowe has maintained his “wait until after 27 games” mindset despite Glory’s late season charge and refused to buy into the hype surrounding his team.
“We’ve got a game next week against Western Sydney Wanderers, we’ll see how we go after that,” Lowe said.
“No one at the club will get too far ahead of themselves, it’s not the type of club we are. It’s not the type of people we’ve got on the coaching staff or the type of people we’ve got in the squad.
“I’m sure they’ll enjoy tonight, but we’ve got to focus on Western Sydney.
“I will say I’m chuffed to bits and really pleased for the players. They’ve earned all the plaudits they’re getting at the moment.”
Lowe was at his theatrical best on the sidelines as Glory netted six goals against the league-leading Roar, equalling the mark set against the Newcastle Jets only four weeks ago.
Glory went behind twice in the first half, but with Spanish marquee Diego Castro proving a handful, the home side fought back to record one of the biggest wins in the club’s history in front of a season-high crowd of 12,156.
“I didn’t see that coming, I thought it would be a really tight game,” Lowe said.
“Fair play to (Brisbane), they asked a lot of questions, but you’ve got to take your hat off to our guys.
“We’ve gone behind, but we just kept at it and scored some excellent goals. Two of the set plays we worked on this week we got goals off.
“We play in an unpredictable way, there’s a lot of freedom in the team. You throw in a few (winning) results and a bit of confidence and things happen. That’s football.”
