Lopez ‘very excited’ ahead of Roar’s season opener

Alex Lopez said he is impressed by Brisbane Roar’s range of midfield options ahead of the club’s Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season opener against Central Coast Mariners on Sunday.

The Spanish schemer will add silk and steel to the Roar’s options in the middle of the pitch as they aim to start the season with a home victory against the Mariners.

Lopez said a variety of unique midfield options, including captain Matt McKay and Thomas Kristensen, will ensure there is high competition for places in Aloisi’s midfield composition.
