Chloe Logarzo’s time at Liberty A-League leaders Western United has come to an end, returning to parent club Kansas City Current following the conclusion of her loan deal in Australia.
Logarzo moved to Western as part of their inaugural squad, arriving on a short-term loan deal from the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) outfit ahead of the 2022-23 season.
The 28-year-old midfielder’s time at Western was interrupted by a foot injury, limiting the Matildas star to only six appearances and three goals, with her hallmark performance coming in their 3-1 win over Melbourne City in December.
Logarzo came from the bench to score a match-winning brace, including a stunning long-range strike to give her side the lead late in the contest.
Despite only a handful of appearances, Logarzo’s impact off the field was just as important, helping set the standards as one of the club’s vice-captains.
The 49-time Matilda will now turn her attention to earning a place in Tony Gustavsson’s FIFA Women’s World Cup squad, with the NWSL season kicking off in late March.
