Nathan Konstandopoulos believes Adelaide United have the potential to be Championship winners this season.
Adelaide’s revival continued with a 3-1 win over Melbourne City on Saturday night, a third consecutive win for Gertjan Verbeek’s side after previously enduring a four-match losing streak.
The Reds blew City away with three first half goals at Coopers Stadium, where they beat Erick Mombaerts’ team in the FFA Cup Final 2019 last October.
Having emerged from a difficult period in the season, Konstandopoulos feels Adelaide have regained their mojo and said the sky was the limit for what the Reds can achieve this season when questioned by FOX Sports.
“We went through that rough patch and learnt a lot about ourselves,” he said.
“We’re a good close group and I reckon we can go all the way.”

Adelaide moved into fifth position as a result of Saturday’s win and there is a sense that Verbeek’s men are still yet to fully hit their stride under the Dutchman’s tutelage during 2019/20.
Verbeek will be pleased with another lightning-fast start for Adelaide, and the fact hard work on the training ground paid off in the form of three goals from corners.
“It was good to get involved in the set pieces, we’ve been working on them for a while now, and it’s good they came off,” Konstandopoulos said.
“We’ve got some of the fastest players in the league and its good to utilise them.”
