Head coach: Kat Smith
Stadium: Wanderers Football Park
2021-22 position: 9th
It was a tough campaign for Western Sydney Wanderers, who won the least A-League Women fixtures last season. Kat Smith, with the support of Tom Sermanni, has been brought in to help steer the club back up the table.

Prospects: With a number of new signings still to be announced, a couple of them internationals, Wanderers will make late headlines between now and when they kick-off in round two. Missing a bit of everything last season, goals were the biggest problem, scoring just four in the first 11 games. In Holly Caspers and Sophie Harding, Wanderers have signed two fast, tall and physical wingers with plenty of untapped potential. But a natural goal-scorer or two still needs to be among the remaining signings to turn their work into the goals that Wanderers will so desperately need to win more games and climb the table.
