Westfield W-League fans have declared Libby Copus-Brown’s stunning effort against Sydney FC as the Goal of the Month for December.
The Newcastle Jets midfielder launched a fabulous hit from distance which beat Sky Blues keeper Aubrey Bledsoe all ends up.
It was a wonderful piece of improvisation from the 21-year-old, but ultimately was not enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat to Sydney FC in Kogarah.
Fans gave Copus-Brown’s strike a hefty 66% of the vote, which eclipsed efforts from Adelaide United’s Ella Mastrantonio and Canberra United’s Rhoda Mulaudzi.
