Veteran midfielder Vince Lia has been allowed to depart Adelaide United to pursue other opportunities.
The 34-year-old has made only two Hyundai A-League appearances this season, totalling fewer than 90 minutes under Gertjan Verbeek’s reign.
Lia featured in 23 matches under then head coach Marco Kurz in 2018/19 and leaves the City of Churches with two FFA Cup winners medals during a three-season spell.
The Shepparton-born midfielder played 184 Hyundai A-League matches for Wellington Phoenix across eight campaigns from 2009, and agreed terms to join the Reds in 2017.

“I want to thank everyone at Adelaide United for welcoming me and making me feel comfortable since I joined the Club,” Lia told the club’s website.
“To win two FFA Cups is something I’ll never forget and I’m proud to be part of this Club’s successful history.
Adelaide United Director of Football, Bruce Djite, paid tribute to Lia, and said: “Towards the back end of his career, Vince is keen to find a club where he will have greater opportunities to play first team football.
“After everything Vince has given to the Club, it’s only fair that we grant his wish to pursue other opportunities.”
