Brisbane Roar have confirmed midfielder George Lambadaridis will miss the entire Hyundai A-League 2013/14 season.
Brisbane Roar have confirmed midfielder George Lambadaridis will be out of action for nine months.
Scans have revealed Lambadaridis needs a knee reconstruction following a collision that required him to be stretchered off in last Tuesday night-s 5-0 pre-season win at Wolter Park.
The 21-year-old, who has five senior appearances to his name, will miss the entire Hyundai A-League 2013/14 season.
“George sustained a serious left knee injury against Albany Creek,” Brisbane Roar Head Physiotherapist Tim Oostenbroek.
“He will be having surgery next week to reconstruct injuries to the posterior cruciate and lateral ligaments.”
Lambadaridis is currently contracted to Brisbane Roar until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
