Kwasnik in the mix for Mariners

Central Coast coach Graham Arnold is not short of options for Sunday’s clash against Melbourne Heart, with two familiar faces back in the selection mix for Mariners.

Striker Adam Kwasnik and left-sided midfielder Oliver Bozanic have both impressed in the club’s youth team and are pushing hard for a recall for the clash at AAMI Park.

Kwasnik scored the winning goal in the club’s National Youth league win over the Jets last week and Bozanic was also prominent and is quickly finding form after recovering from a knee injury.

During Arnold’s stint in charge at Gosford, Kwasnik and Bozanic have been two of his most reliable performers.

“Both of them are ready to go if that’s the way Arnie wants to go,” Mariners assistant coach Phil Moss said.

“Arnie has got a squad where there is a lot of competition for spots.

“Both looked strong in the youth team so it gives us plenty of options.”

Moss said the response from the team after last week’s controversial loss to the Jets has been impressive.

The Mariners were on the wrong end of several tight calls and eventually lost 2-1 after finishing all over Newcastle.

Despite not taking anything from the match Arnold and Moss were both happy with the performance.

And, they believe a similar effort will see the team return to the coast with a second win of the campaign.
