Ryan Kitto has signed a two-year contract extension with Adelaide United, the versatile fullback’s hometown Hyundai A-League club.
Kitto, 25, is a two-time FFA Cup winner for the Reds having played a crucial part in the club’s 2018 and 2019 victories.
He made his debut with the club in 2013 and joined Newcastle Jets after a stint at NPL South Australia side West Torrens Birkalla, the club with whom he played his youth career.
Kitto has tallied 84 appearances for Adelaide in total and has scored 10 goals, including his side’s dramatic equaliser in last season’s Semi Final against Perth Glory.
He will remain contracted with the club until the end of the Hyundai A-League 2021/22 Season.
“I have always felt privileged and honoured to play for Adelaide United and I’m very excited to be extending my time with the club,” Kitto told the club website.

“Adelaide is my home and I feel at home at this club which has a special place in my heart, but also my family’s.
“The last few seasons have seen us bring more success and silverware to our fans and I’m hoping we can continue to add to that in the near future.
“We’re progressing well this season and after winning the FFA Cup for the second straight season, we’re full of confidence that we can bring that good-form into the A-League and have another great year.”
“Securing Ryan for another two seasons is fantastic,” added Bruce Djite, Adelaide’s Director of Football.
“As the football club for all South Australians, which represents the state week in week out, we believe it is very important to continue rewarding South Australian talent and Ryan is very deserving of this extension.
“The versatility he has added to his game demonstrates his desire and passion to give everything to Adelaide United and we’re very happy he will continue to be a Red for at least the next two seasons.”
