Neil Kilkenny will be an interested observer when Western Sydney Wanderers host Brisbane Roar in a match that could make or break Perth Glory’s top six chances.
Glory moved level on 32 points with Brisbane after securing an impressive 2-0 win at an out-of-sorts Newcastle Jets on Friday night.
If the sixth-placed Roar draw with Wanderers at ANZ Stadium on Saturday, Perth will only need to beat the Queensland club in their Round 27 encounter on home soil to book a place in the Finals Series.

Kilkenny believes it would be well-earned reward for a strong run of results following his January move from Melbourne City.
“Since I’ve been here the lads have been brilliant,” Kilkenny told Fox Sports.
“Unfortunately it’s maybe come a bit late but we had to win tonight and we’ve done that.
“We have to try to get the result next Saturday. Hopefully we can do that and hopefully the result goes for us tomorrow.
“I’m looking forward to watching it.”
Diego Castro was central to Perth passing the first test in their bid to finish sixth as he scored the opener and created the second in the win over Newcastle.
Kilkenny, however, was quick to point out they weren’t a one-man team.
“Diego’s a fantastic player. I think the lads have to take credit too,” the midfielder said.
“When he goes on his runs people cover him and give him the ball in good positions.
“It’s a good team performance, especially tonight.
“We just needed to get players on the pitch and get a bit of continuity and that’s what we’ve done. I think we’ve played really well.”
