Brisbane Roar have signed CommBank Junior Matildas midfielder and two-time Ninja A-League Premiership-winner Kiera Meyers from Melbourne City for the 2025-26 season.
The 18-year-old arrives in Brisbane after sealing back-to-back Premiership titles at City, where she’s spent the past two seasons on a scholarship deal.
The Minnesota-born midfielder moved to Melbourne in 2021 before joining the Emerging Matildas where she was discovered by City and handed an opportunity as a train-on player that ultimately led to her receiving a scholarship contract.
Meyers made 14 appearances for City across both the Ninja A-League and AFC Women’s Champions League but is excited to be joining the Roar where she believes a focus on youth development will be of tremendous benefit to her progression as a senior footballer.
“I am so excited to be joining Brisbane Roar,” Meyers said.

“I chose Brisbane for the quality and style of football played under a great coaching staff who believe in developing young players.
“I am excited to learn from my teammates and coaches, to gain experience and to continue growing as a footballer. I believe this team can win titles and I want to contribute to achieving that goal.”
Meyers is head coach Alex Smith’s fifth new recruit of the off-season, following the arrival of Chloe Lincoln, Amali Kinsella, Daisy Brown and Kijah Stephenson at the Roar.
“Kiera is a talented player I have known for many years,” Smith said.
“I am looking forward to her showcasing that talent with the Roar, in front our amazing fans. She is an exciting attacking player with an ability to change a game.
