Juventus arrive in Sydney

Juventus have touched down in Sydney this morning to a rousing reception ahead of Sunday’s much-anticipated clash against the Foxtel A-League All Stars.

Fans were at Sydney airport early to greet the Italian champions, who’ll take on the Hyundai A-League’s best in front of more than 50,000 supporters at ANZ Stadium.

Superstar midfielder Andrea Pirlo, veteran goal-keeper Gianluigi Buffon, Chilean Arturo Vidal and striker Carlos Tevez are among a world-class squad the Bianconeri have brought to Australia.

The Italian champions were greeted by a sea of black and white on exiting the terminal, with a number of players stopping to sign autographs and pose for photos.

New coach Massimiliano Allegri will put his side through their first training session in Sydney later on Friday, before an official welcome dinner at Doltone House.

They will also hold a special open training session on Saturday, where fans will get the opportunity to see how the likes of Pirlo, Tevez, Patrice Evra and Paul Pogba prepare for a big game.

Juventus arrived from Jakarta following a comprehensive 8-1 win over an Indonesian Select XI in the first stop on their Asian Tour on Wednesday night.

The FOXTEL A-League All Stars will meet Juventus at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on 10 August with the match to be broadcast live and exclusive on the Seven Network nationally.
