The Reds from Adelaide may have soared overnight, but two former Hyundai A-League defenders had tough nights in the ACL overnight.
Ex Sydney FC defender Matt Jurman’s Suwon Bluewings have suffered their first loss in Group G, going down 1-0 to Japanese outfit Kawasaki Frontale.
Fresh from scoring both goals in his side’s K-League Classic win over Gangwon on Saturday, Jurman started the match, but saw Suwon fall behind just after half-time.

He was replaced after 63 minutes as the Bluewings went in search of an equaliser.
The result means Suwon must beat Chinese powerhouses and group leaders Guangzhou Evergrande in their final pool match on May 9 to be assured of a spot in the knockout stages.
Meantime, Josh Mitchell has also had an unhappy night in the ACL.
His Hong Kong side Eastern AA has been thumped 6-0 by Guangzhou Evergrande.
To make matters worse, the former Perth Glory and Newcastle Jets defender scored a first-half own-goal.
