Jurman’s ACL dream over in China

Former Sydney FC defender Matt Jurman’s 2017 Asian Champions League campaign has come to an end.

The ex-Sky Blues stopper played a full 90 minutes as his Suwon Bluewings side drew 2-2 at Guangzhou Evergrande in their final group match.

The result saw Suwon finish third in Group G, just a point behind Guangzhou and Japanese outfit Kawasaki Frontale who progress to the knockout stages.

Jurman picked up a booking midway through the second half.

In the same group, fellow Aussie Josh Mitchell played a full part in his side’s final game of the 2017 tournament.

Eastern AA were well beaten 4-0 by Kawasaki Frontale to finish group play winless, having scored just one goal in six matches.
