The National Youth League match between the Newcastle Jets and Gold Coast United at Adamstown Oval on Friday evening has been abandoned after just 15 minutes of play due to wet and dangerous conditions.
A massive hour-long downpour leading up to the match flooded the ground in Newcastle before the weather cleared just before kick-off.
The officials decided to try to start the game but there was too much surface water and when Gold Coast United-s Mitch Cooper slipped awkwardly referee Andrew Higgins deemed the conditions too dangerous and immediately abandoned the match.
The FFA will reschedule the Week 15 clash at a date to be advised.
