An intriguing contest looms for Fox Sports and ABC TV viewers on Sunday as Newcastle Jets host Sydney FC, with the match to be followed by a Hyundai A-League contest featuring the same two clubs.
The match features Westfield W-League leaders Sydney FC against a Newcastle Jets side that have been, last weekend aside, hugely competitive this season.
Though the Jets sit in fifth, they lie just three points off the pace and could in theory rise as high as second come Sunday night.
The Jets will be looking to make the most of the televised match by breaking a long drought, having not defeated the Sky Blues at home since 2008, and with an overall record of just three wins from 15 outings.
