Newcastle Jets have confirmed that assistant coach Luciano Trani has left the Club with immediate effect.
The move comes just 24 hours following the shock decision to axe head coach Scott Miller after just one season with the Hyundai A-League club.

Newcastle Jets Chief Executive Officer, Mr Lawrie McKinna, confirmed that Trani had been released from his role at the Club on Thursday afternoon.
“We have chosen to give the Club’s new Head Coach the opportunity to appoint his own Assistant,” McKinna said.
“Luciano joined Newcastle Jets in June this year and has helped prepare the squad for the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 Season.
“We wish him well in his future endeavours,” McKinna said.
As a result of Trani’s departure, Newcastle Jets Youth Coach Clayton Zane will oversee first team training until further notice. Zane will also be at the helm of the first team on Sunday when the Jets play Edgeworth FC at Jack McLaughlan Oval.
